Question: Will mealworms choose a “nice” smelling qtip end over an unscented qtip?
Hypothesis: mealworms will choose the nice smelling qtip end over the unscented qtip because it holds moisture.
Exploration Phase:4 worms were challenged. When they were approached with the scented tip they shied away and pulled back (coiled). When the same thing was done with the unscented tip they all approached the qtip.
Conclusion: the mealworms did not choose the scented qtip end which we had previously hypothesized. Instead they enjoyed climbing on the unscented qtip end.
